Machinists Inc. quality management system maintains independent 3rd party registration and certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2008. We also demonstrate compliance with NQA-1 (Nuclear Facility Applications) on a contractual basis through extensive customer audits.

 

Our QA inspectors are often assigned to work directly with customers in the development of robust and repeatable inspection methods. The result provides consistent, meaningful QA data output, to meet our customer’s needs..

 

Non-Destructive Testing

Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Inspections are done in-house by inspectors certified by our Level III thru an NAS410 and ASNT TC1A system.

Laser Tracker

Our Leica laser tracker system has a spherical volumetric reach of 20 feet. With over 24 years of experience in using this equipment, our inspection department can set precision tools manually or inspect complex surfaces using advanced models. Laser trackers can also be "staged" to inspect even larger envelopes. This precision 7 foot long locating jig (above) was fabricated complete at MI including all welding and NDI (non-destructive inspection). The laser tracker is locating the critical components within .002" of an inch.
